On Thursday, January 25th, six Year 4 students proudly represented our school in a Boccia tournament at Newham Leisure Centre. They played against several other schools, showcasing amazing teamwork and determination. It was a fun-filled event, and now they are excitedly preparing for a New Age Kurling tournament coming up in a few weeks!
Boccia is a precision ball sport that is played by individuals with physical disabilities. The game is designed to be inclusive, allowing people of all abilities to participate. It involves throwing, rolling, or kicking balls towards a target, and players aim to land their balls closest to a target ball, known as the "jack." Boccia is a strategic and skilful game that requires concentration, coordination, and teamwork. It is often played in schools, clubs, and in Paralympic competitions.< Back to New City News
