Last Friday, New City celebrated World Book day and our celebrations were bigger and better than ever before. It was fantastic to see so many children dressed up as their favourite characters and carrying their favourite books into school. We started the day with an extra special assembly where prizes were given out for the best dressed children as well as the best dressed teacher! We all shared our favourite books with one another and after assembly the children headed back to class to carry on the celebrations by attempting to guess who were our masked readers! It was so lovely to be able to come together and celebrate everything reading and all the joys it can bring.
