Virus Letter - 18th March 2020

March 18th 2020

Dear parents/carers

I hope you have received my letter dated March 16th 2020. I am following that letter up with further information and I thank you for your continued support during these difficult times.

We are to remain open until such time that the government instructs us to close, however we will have to cancel some activities due to resources and staff shortages.

All external visits and extracurricular clubs have been cancelled since March 17th. In addition to this we will have to cancel the following:

  • Breakfast and after school clubs from Monday 23rd March due to low supplies.
  • All before and after school booster sessions for Y6 from today
  • All meetings with parents on site including parents evening and the end of term show from today
  • All stay and read sessions in Nursery and Reception from today

We are maintaining a healthy and safe school through sanitising and washing hands with the children and the staff. If your child has a cough or a temperature then it is important that the child remains at home for 14 days. If anyone in your household has these symptoms then all members of the household should self-isolate for 14 days.

I will continue to keep you informed of any developments through letters, which will also be posted onto our website at On the website is also the information for teaching your children at home. I will use the website to keep you updated if we do close.

Finally, you will be receiving your child’s report today. Please use the information to continue to target their learning at home if they are unable to come to school.

Thank you once again for all your support.

Stay safe and well

Best wishes

Mrs Stone
Head Teacher
