Letter from Mrs Stone - 8th April 2020

8th April 2020

Dear Parents and Carers

We have now entered into our Spring break. We are currently open to children of Critical Workers and vulnerable children.  If you fall into these categories and require educational provision for your children, please contact the school on 0208 472 2743 or by email info@newcity.boleyntrust.org. Please inform us of the dates that you would require provision so that the school can make the necessary arrangements.   Please contact our school office, which is open between 08:30 and 15:00 until further notice on 0208 472 2743. We will be closed on Bank Holiday Friday and Monday.

We have had a range of enquires about Free School Meal vouchers. These vouchers are only available to families who are eligible. Even though your child receives a free school meal in school, they are not automatically eligible. To check if you are eligible then please click this link and complete the form; www.newham.gov.uk/Pages/Services/Free-school-meals.aspx Further information can be found on our website under Pupil Premium.

Mr Arnell has come up with an exciting project over the holidays, which is to  run a ‘poster for the NHS’ or ‘positive message poster’ competition. Your children's poster designs could be sent to me via info@newcity.boleyntrust.org for inclusion on the website and put up in windows to cheer up passers by. The poster  should incorporate a rainbow, be a positive message, and the design needs to be big and bold as possible to catch the eyes of passers by -especially any writing! Media could be coloured pens/ pencils, collage, paint or could even incorporate 3D elements such as plasticine or modelling clay on windowsills/ledges anything they have to hand. All posters/photographs of the posters can be sent to me via email by April 20th.

Finally, as well as all the activities on our home learning page you can click on this link for further activities for all the familiy; www.jigsawpshe.com

Take care
